2. What We Collect
We may collect and process the following categories of information:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, organization details, and login-related details you provide when registering or using Reporter4U.
- Content data, including articles, source feeds, prompts, drafts, rewrites, generated images, metadata, and other content you ingest, create, edit, approve, or publish through the platform.
- Integration credentials and tokens, such as tokens or connection details used to connect WordPress, LinkedIn, and other supported third-party services.
- Usage and analytics information, such as product interactions, feature usage, logs, device/browser data, and general website analytics information.
3. Third Parties and Why We Use Them
We use third-party service providers and integrations to operate Reporter4U and deliver requested features.
- OpenAI to help generate and rewrite article content and related AI outputs.
- WordPress to publish or sync content to websites that you connect.
- LinkedIn to support account connection and, when enabled by the user, posting on the user's behalf.
- Email / SMTP providers to send product notifications, alerts, support messages, and account-related emails.
- Google Analytics and Cloudflare for consent-based website analytics, hosting, performance and security.
4. LinkedIn Integration
If you choose to connect LinkedIn to Reporter4U, we use LinkedIn OAuth 2.0 to request access to your LinkedIn account.
How the connection works
- We request the scopes openid, profile, email, and w_member_social.
- These scopes let us confirm your LinkedIn identity and support posting features in later product flows.
- The callback domain used for this integration is https://app.reporter4u.com/linkedin/callback.
How we store LinkedIn tokens
- LinkedIn access tokens are stored encrypted at rest.
- LinkedIn refresh tokens, where provided, are also stored encrypted at rest.
- Tokens are decrypted only in memory when needed for an authorized action.
How posting works
We only post content that the user explicitly creates and approves. We never post to LinkedIn without user action unless the user enables an auto-post feature. Users can disconnect or revoke access in Reporter4U settings or through LinkedIn's permissions page.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information handled by Reporter4U. These safeguards may include encryption at rest for tokens, access controls, session protections, infrastructure-level restrictions, and internal procedures designed to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect the information entrusted to us in a commercially reasonable manner.
6. Retention and Deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, troubleshoot, enforce our agreements, comply with applicable obligations, and support legitimate business operations.
When an account is closed or a valid deletion request is received, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize information that is no longer required, subject to backups, security logs, legal obligations, dispute handling, and legitimate internal retention needs.
7. User Rights
Subject to applicable law in Pakistan and other laws that may apply to a particular relationship or transaction, users may request access to their personal information, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of information we are not required to retain.
To make a request, contact hello@reporter4u.com. We may ask for information needed to verify identity.
8. Cookies and Analytics
The marketing website uses Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-716X3FG8FX, to measure page usage, registration interest, pricing interactions, contact-form completion and website performance.
